Orientation to Zen Course – Saturdays April 9, 16, 23 & 30, 2016
Are you looking for a way to go beyond the simple basics of meditation, or how to take your practice deeper?
Are you ready to engage face-to-face with an experienced teacher, and explore how becoming involved with a community that was created to support meditation can inspire and enhance your own practice?
Genjo Marinello, Osho Visit April 1-3, 2016
From Friday April 1 through Sunday April 3rd we will be holding a weekend of Zen activities, led by Genjo Marinello, Osho – Abbot of Chobo-ji in Seattle.
Monthly One-Day Intensives
If you have been sitting regularly for a while and are ready to further your practice, a one-day intensive is a great way to devote an entire day to zen practice in the supportive environment of Kokizaji Temple. The schedule for our silent one-day intensive runs from 6am to 5pm, and includes sitting, walking, chanting, meal practice, and a period of care taking. Eshu Osho gives a Zen talk during the mid-morning sitting, and conducts one-on-one meetings with each student.
Seven-Day Intensive (Sesshin)
The Seven-Day Summer Sesshin at Zenwest’s Red Flag Mountain Temple in Sooke is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in intensive residential Zen practice, and to participate in co-creating our Sangha’s space
The schedule includes plenty of sitting, there will be a great opportunity for Samu (work practice) and our efforts will be going into developing our own practice place – Kokizan-ji (Red Flag Mountain Temple). There will be chanting, yoga and silent hikes, formal meals, Dharma talks and interview with Eshu Osho. Essentially, this is an immersive residential Zen training experience.
